Newcastle Olympic Football Academy: About Us
The Newcastle Olympic Football Academy (NOFA) will serve the needs of individual players regardless of age, team, or development phase. The training will be based on developing attributes that are consistent with NOFC’s philosophy and ethos regarding technical ability, work ethic, and personal character.
NOFA will provide various services including a pathway development program (PDP) and skill enhancement program (SEP). Every season, some of our players receive notification from Northern NSW Football that they have been included in their Talent Support Program (TSP).
In an effort to provide supplementary group training to our remaining players, we have developed a club-based Pathway Development Program. Our program will be for 10-weeks and will be offered to all JDL/NPL/WPL players in the 9-15 years age groups. Sessions will be on Monday afternoons/evenings (at Islington Park or Darling St). The training sessions will be undertaken by senior NOFC staff coaches, and there will be guest coaches (from without the club) at selected times throughout the program.
The Academy (NOFA) will also provide supplementary training to younger age groups (6-8s) through our Skill Enhancement Program (SEP), and our 16s age group will be able to undertake supplementary training with the senior teams (mainly 18s) on a rotation basis. Furthermore, NOFA hopes to run a summer program for JDL age players (9-12s) from within and without the club.
If your child/player would like to participate in the PDP or SEP, please contact me so that I can provide further information regarding logistics and payment details.
